Christian Education

Christian Education Statement of Purpose

The purpose of Christian Education is to help individuals of all ages learn, grow, and be transformed in their faith.

This is carried out through opportunities that inspire and challenge us to know and experience God through Jesus Christ, claim and live in God’s promises, and grow and serve as Christian Disciples.

Our programs are designed to enable individuals and groups to carry out the mission of the United Methodist Church: “To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”

Sunday School Classes

United Methodist Youth Fellowship

The United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) is for all youth in the church grades 7-12.
Youth Fellowship provides opportunities for Bible study, fun activities and fellowship, and various youth service projects.

We encourage all youth of our church to participate in UMYF so that they may grow in their faith, develop positive relationships, and be in service to the local community, as well as global missions of the church.

“As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers,Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. ‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’ At once they left their nets and followed him.” –

Matthew 4:18-20

Discipleship classes are offered in the fall with the start of the new school year.  Classes may also be offered throughout the year whenever there is interest.
